+ 4 I don't like to watch spooky movies, but I'd say one that isn't so bad is Night of the Living Dead. It's actually pretty corny.

+1 These all sound like great books! I'm especially looking forward to The Heretic's Daughter.

miller4plusmore(at)bellsouth(dot)net

+4 I would have to say The Descent was one of the scariest movies I've ever seen...it is probably my favorite!

+2 My favorite costume when I was a kid was the Betsy Ross costume my mom sewed for me (I've always been a history buff)! Fav costume as an adult...I went as Medusa when I was 9 months pregnant. In Greek mythology, Medusa is pregnant so I thought very fitting plus I wanted to go as something scary!

Oh what a great giveaway!!!

+4 My favorite spooky movie remains The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's a holiday tradition for our family now. We watch it a million times during October-December.

+2 Does watching Nightmare count as a tradition? lol I'll share a favorite costume just to be sure - my husband, for years, dressed up like The Crow. The first year he did it was best; he painted his face, ripped up some old black clothing, and then taped himself up with black tape. He was SO CREEPY. Later, he didn't have as much hair (giggle!) and couldn't pull it off as well. I kinda miss it now!

My favorite scary movie is the old classic The House on Haunted Hill. I watched it all the time as a child.

Our tradition is to take the kids trick or treating at my parents house in the neighborhood I grew up in. It brings back memories of my childhood and makes new memories of me with my kids.

2. One of my favorite spooky movies is The Others. I'm totally creeped out by the "what we can't see" type of horror flick that messes with the mind. Paranormal Activity sort of fell into this category, too.

3. Favorite Halloween tradition is passing out candy with my mom. She lives in a neighborhood that has HUNDREDS of trick-or-treaters every year. We have to stockpile candy for months ahead of time.

Thanks for doing the giveaway, Joanne!

+4 Remember the guy from the Dr.Pepper commercials who was in the Werewolf of (in?) London? or - uh oh. That's a song, isn't it. Maybe I should go look that up. OK, let's go with another 80s flick The Howling! (I hate scary movies, actually)
+2 I'm dressing up as Dorothy from Wiz of Oz this year. I hope to have a photo to share. Does this count? We're hosting a party this year but usually my favorite tradition is to go out to dinner and not be home at all that night.
